Frequently asked questions
How granular are permissions?
Roles are built from permissions grouped by domain — deals, budgets and ledger, financial figures, assignment, and more. You can start from a system preset or build a custom role, so a project manager can run the schedule without seeing contract amounts.
How do notifications reach my team?
Every event can notify in-app, by email, and by SMS. Each person controls their own channel preferences per event, and delivery is recorded in a communications log with failures surfaced rather than swallowed.
Do I need my own SMS account?
SMS sends through your own Twilio account connected in settings, with A2P 10DLC registration guidance included. Email delivery is built in.
Is there an audit trail?
Yes. Mutations write to an append-only, hash-chained event log with an activity feed and CSV export, giving you a legal-grade record of who changed what and when.
Can several entities share one login?
Foundry is multi-tenant. Each organization has its own data, members, roles, branding, and billing, and users switch between the organizations they belong to.
